Congratulations
To 4 of our students who were selected for the Otago U11 and U13 Touch Rugby teams after playing in a qualifying tournament last Sunday.  Well done to Grace Keno and Max Fatafehi who made the U11 teams and Antonia Black and Toby Lewis who made the mixed U13 team.  They were selected out of 40-50 children in each year team from Taieri, Dunedin Metro and  South Otago.  Every Wednesday and Sunday they will travel to either Dunedin or Mosgiel for their practices because they will play in 3 tournaments before Christmas in Balclutha, Invercargill and Christchurch.  In the qualifying tournament, North Otago U11 girls won all their games, and the U11 and U13 teams all had one win and 2 losses.

Gymnastics
Can all gymnastic leotards and boys singlets please be returned to the school office as soon as possible.

Home and School News
Raffle
All cards and money sold or unsold are due back on MONDAY 9th November to the office.  We still require helpers to sell tickets at the supermarkets at New World on Monday 16th and Tuesday 17th November and at Countdown on Monday 16th and Wednesday 18th November.  Thank you to the volunteers who have already put their names down already.  There is a roster in the office for you to put your name down.  We will be phoning people at the end of the week for any spots that require filling.

Cake Stall
Will be held on Sunday 15th November at the Victorian Fete from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm.  Trays will go home on Tuesday 10th November with information about when to bring in the food.  We usually get some fantastic goodies for the cake stall and would be happy to sell any produce/sweets as well. If you would like more trays, you can pick them up from Rachel Fowler in the hall at 3.00 pm next Tuesday.

School Kitchen
We are currently working to get a new kitchen installed in the hall.  As part of the new kitchen upgrade, we are asking if any families have any cutlery sets that they no longer use and would donate to the new kitchen as they would be very much appreciated.  Thanks Rachel Fowler, Chairperson.

Lost
Rheanna Coscos has lost her named school jacket.  If found please return it to the school office.

Multi Cultural Day
This is a reminder about the cultural day this Friday.  Children can come dressed up in cultural costumes from their own country or from a country of their choice.  Their gold coin donation goes towards purchasing a drum kit for the Multicultural Worship Band.  The band will perform on Friday afternoon along with other performers.  All parents and friends are welcome to join us in the hall at 12.45 for the performances.  The whole school is having a shared lunch in the hall.  Your child needs to bring a plate of food to share - one plate per family.  Please take into consideration, our school is a Health promoting school and ideas of food contributions for your family could be something special from your culture or something your family likes to cook together.  Remember its is finger food so something easy to eat.  No food with nuts please.

North Otago Athletics
Notices have been given to the children who qualified for the North Otago Athletics held on Monday 23rd November.  Please let Mrs Souness know if your child will not be attending these athletics by next week.
